Background:


Laura Ashley, an iconic high street brand established over 50 years ago, is a leading retailer of clothing, home furnishings, and renowned as an international designer. With nearly 150 stores across the UK, ranging from smaller high street locations to larger retail park outlets, Laura Ashley stood as a key player in the home furnishings industry.


Challenge:


To enhance in-store customer experiences and maintain their position as industry leaders, Laura Ashley embarked on an ambitious project to upgrade all their EPOS hardware throughout their stores. With a global presence, minimizing any significant downtime during the hardware swap was crucial. The challenge was to execute a flawless installation and setup process without disrupting the stores' operations. Adding to the complexity, the entire deployment had to be meticulously planned and executed out of hours, just before the store's opening, to ensure a seamless transition and uninterrupted customer service.


Solution:


As part of the solution, we were entrusted with the deployment of the new EPOS hardware across Laura Ashley's sites in the North West and Midlands regions. Collaborating closely with our agent, we devised a meticulous plan to ensure minimal store disruption.


Our team of expert engineers executed the project with precision. For larger sites, multiple engineers were dispatched, while smaller locations were assigned a single engineer. The new hardware was delivered directly to the sites, and our engineers arrived two hours before store opening to begin the process. They skillfully de-commissioned existing terminals, unpacked, set up, and configured the new EPOS terminals. Rigorous testing was conducted to ensure seamless functionality before the stores opened their doors to customers. Our engineers remained on-site even after opening to address any inquiries from store staff and ensure a glitch-free experience.

Thanks to our seamless execution and dedicated team, Laura Ashley successfully upgraded their EPOS hardware across multiple sites without any disruptions.
